So the kids have been learning about the election process at school, and they got a chance to "vote" for President today. Blake said he voted for Obama "because he likes basketball" and Aubri chose McCain "because he doesn't have yucky teeth." Hilarious! Those reasons are as good as any I could have come up with!

The sun is in my eyes...but I will smile anyway...It is WAAAYYY too early to be smiling....get out of my face!

OK, so the kids had to be at school at 8am, which means we got there at 7:45 am...so we would have time to take pictures and get everyone to the right classroom. Can you tell Blake is NOT happy about being up that early?! He was also really nervous about being in a new class.

But, I wish I had Chris's camera when I left Blake in his classroom, because I thought his face would crack from the huge smile he had on his face. He found a girl he knew from last year and they sit next to each other in class. He is excited to be in FIRST GRADE! And Aubri was just fine leaving us to go to Preppie K. She has a couple of friends from the neighborhood in her class, and is excited to be there with them.

**SIGH** They are growing up so fast!

This was so funny. Megan had just got back from body boarding and we were about to leave. Shane got on the board and just sat there. We just pulled the strap and Shane sat there the whole way back on the sand laughing about his new transportatoin!!
Shane crawled out of his car seat and sat on Daddy's body board bag. He was so proud of himself.

We were watching the Olympics today and the 10,000 meter event came on TV. As we watched and commented about how boring this run would be as they run around the track some 70+ times, we saw an American by the name of Galen Rupp. Here is his picture. Although he did not win a medal we were rooting for him. Go Rupp!!!!!!! He even looks like a Rupp.

Megan earned 50 supper you awards at her school. I thought it wasn't a big deal, thinking a couple of dozen kids earned at least the same. She was recognized at an early morning assembly. I almost blew it off because it was so early. Turns out Megan was the only one who earned 50 supper yous and the entire assembly was for her! She got a gift certificate to Mimi's and a Moffett Mustang stuffed animal. I guess it was a pretty big deal. I am so proud of her:)

So Shane is now one! We had a great day minus some favorite aunts and uncles. We celebrated with a big sports party. We had chips and dip, pizza and fun. Shane and his fans all wore sports jerseys. They were an awesome team. What a memorable day!!!

POPS!!! I have so many great memories with you. I just wanted to take a minute and say thank-you for everything you have taught me! Here are some (not all because it would take to long) but some of my favorite things about you!

-You are so friendly! I can't remember a time growing up when you stopped to get gas and didn't have a 10 minute conversation with the person at the pump next to you. I remember being so excited when we would pull up to the gas station and there was nobody there because that meant you would be fast! Ha ha I am so grateful that you did that now because it has taught me to be a good people person and to have good conversation skills. Even at our wedding reception you took the time and went around to every table to meet everyone. But it's not just meeting them, It's shaking their hand and learning their name and making them feel important. I can't tell you how many people came up after the reception and told be how nice or how friendly you are! What an AMAZING character trait to have! Thank you for teaching me all that!

-There is never a dull moment with you. Other than the times when you wanted to have a strategy or format planned.. you weren't ever very serious! This taught me to never take life too serious, and there is always time for a game (or something of the sort) for instance seeing how many peices of bread we could take in one pinch of the sacrament! ha ha. Or eating string cheese for example... Never a dull moment!

-You are always Smiling! Everyone loves to meet someone or to know someone who is always smiling, To me, you are my example of that! I can even tell you are smiling when I am on the phone with you, it comes through in your voice. Plus it's not just a fake smile, it is a real genuine smile that can brighten anyones day. Thank you so much for always smiling and teaching me to always smile... no one likes to frown!

-You put strawberry jam and Bar-B-Que sauce on everything!! This totally grossed me out when I was little but believe it or not... it got me prepared for all the other gross things that guys do and eat!

-I can't wait for my little girl to experience the Marc the Shark attack or to... Suffer the fate of the falling pillow!

-Thin pancakes... Not much more needs to be said about that!

-Pops I have a lot more I could say about you but I need to save some material for future Fathers Days... No matter what I or anyone else has said, you are a great Dad and I love you! After all you are and always will be my daddy warbucks! What would I do without you! Happy Fathers day Pops! I hope you have a Great day and I love you!

ULTRASOUND!!!

After months of Robyn getting so impatient to find out the sex of our baby, we finally found out on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008. We made our way to the women's center in the morning as our appointment was at 10 a.m.

When we got there we went straight to the ultrasound room. The lady put the the jelly stuff on Robyn's stomach and soon we were staring right at our beautiful yet, demonic looking baby due to it's skull showing up very vibrantly on the ultrasound. We couldn't believe how much the baby had grown since the last ultrasound. It was really amazing to see, and seemed that much more real.

After a few minutes of the baby twisting and turning all over (This baby is def taking after her dad. It looked like she had just drank a Red Bull) the nurse said it looked like it was looking like a girl... We thought -- No way! We were basically in shock. I was speechless, Robyn was crying all over the place, and the baby was still jamming out inside Robyn's womb.

A few minutes later, the baby decided to show us her little butt and sure enough revealed that she didn't have the bulge we were looking for. 'IT'S DEFINITELY A GIRL' the nurse said.

I reached down and gave Robyn a hug and kiss and told her how excited I was for a girl. It was so crazy I can barely describe it in words. It become so much more real that day and we are so excited to have a precious baby girl. The best thing is, she has all her limbs, she is completely healthy and looks perfect. My dad said that it is a good thing we are having a girl first so I can learn to be a little more tender with things. Man is he right, just watch me try to open anything packaged and you will see for yourself that I am not a very gentle person. I am sure this will all change soon enough when we welcome our perfect baby girl into the world.

I just wanted to show you all how we would have told you what we are having if you lived here if we lived there (instead of the lame over the phone technique that I had to do)! The camp site we were at was Awesome!! It was right next to this massive waterfall and was GORGEOUS. We just decorated the table with all pink stuff and got some pink balloons. It was so pretty to see all those colors up in the canyon. We miss you all so much and can't wait to see you all! Enjoy these picture of your new Niece/Granddaughter. Forget the toys, Shane just likes socks. He puts one in each hand and one in his mouth. He plays fetch like a dog with himself. He throws one and chases after it laughing. He is so normal!

Megan Had a little show at her school called "Spring Sing" She sings so loud and out of tune. I love it!
Megan also pulled out her 7th tooth! The most in the whole Kindergarten grade!

THE PEAK! 10,834 FEET!

This is a Stone Hut at around 10,800 feet or so built

in 1933. It was crazy cool!

This was our campsite the second night! It was great except for

the wind which wasn't too bad. I had to get up at 2:00 am and tighten

down the rain fly.

As you can see, there were parts where we were trudging through mountains

of deep, freshly falled powder that almost got up to the top of the soles of

Melissa's new shoes... YIKES!

We went from Sunny to Snowy... Melissa, a happy camper she was not...
This was our first camp site! It was GREAT! Right next to a small stream, beautiful location. The only real problem was that the temperature got down to 2o degrees that night.... we both didn't sleep too well...

So we started our Camping Trip on Saturday, May 24th. This is at the bottom of the Tram in Palm Springs. We knew not what awaited us at the top...

We had a great mothers day today! super busy but still fun. It started out with Brandon getting me some awesome flowers and a maternity massage!! (I am so excited for this!) Then we went up to moms house and went to church with her. She had to teach relief society today. She gave a great lesson and made most of the women cry. Then we went back to her house and had a BBQ. (yummy chicken kabobs.)Mom also spoiled me with some gift cards to Jamba Juice!! Thanks Mom!!! Before we left we planted some flowers and then we were on our way to go listen to/watch the Jazz game. WHAT A GREAT GAME!! We won in overtime then it was off to dinner with Brandon's family. We went to Carvers Steak house with his family and his grandparents. Brandon's mom is awesome! She got me a cute card and a cute little onesie. She also got me some sweet stretch mark cream that I am very excited to use! I definitely need it because I swear my belly gets bigger everyday. I got way too spoiled today and don't feel worthy because I havn't had to go through all the struggles of a real mom yet. This goes out to all the moms for being so great but especially to my mom for being such an amazing influence and a great example in my life! I hope I can be half the mom that you are. Love you Mom!!

Our Alien Baby?

So I have been informed that sometimes the sound of the heartbeat sounds really fast and kinda like an alien baby. Just wanted to assure you all that we are not having an alien baby. The Heartbeat is completely normal. Brandon said it has something to do with your browser or something like that. So no worries! We are not having an alien! YEAH!!!

We got to hear the heartbeat today! After hearing it I am pretty sure I am going to be having a kid that is going to be just like it's dad... If you listen it sounds like it farts right in the middle. Every time time I hear it I laugh. I have no idea what the sound is but there is some definite resemblance between our baby and it's dad! I have my ultrasound on June 6th to find out the sex of the baby! I cant wait, it seems so far away. If I had to guess I would say it is a boy. I just feel like it us. Plus I have had multiple dreams that I am having a boy and it looks the same in all my dreams. but knowing my luck I am probably wrong and it will be a girl. I guess only time will tell!

Pickin it

We spent the weekend in Vegas with our friends Andrea & Blake from the AZ. Tons of Fun. Tons of Food! Gregg and Blake rode on all 3 of the thrill rides at the top of the Stratosphere. Thought he was going to DIE! We also went to the Cirque du Soleil show "LOVE" and it was incredible! We saw dolphins,white tigers and lions, "oh my". And just walked and walked and walked until we couldn't any more and then went and lost $ playing black jack - Vegas is awesome!

Our first Ultrasound!!

I had my first ultrasound today and it was Amazing! First, they tried to find the heartbeat but it was too early so they took us into the ultrasound room and we got to see the heartbeat fluttering away! They tried to get a good picture but he was moving so much that this is the best they could do. It is so amazing to think that I have a life forming inside of me. I have my next appointment in 4 weeks. so soon! My official due date is November 2nd. So I am happy to report that everything looks great!

Summer Trip for the Fam

Hey fam what is happening? I want to get started on the details for a big family trip this summer. I have access to a lot of resources. So lets use them. Below are my ideas tell me what sounds best.
1- 3 day 2 Night stay on the boat in Catalina
we can take the jet skis and dingy. I
would take care of a lot of the gas. If you
sleep on the boat you would only need
money for food and some gas.
2- 3 days of playing on Lake Meed. I will
bring both Jet Skis and Dingy. We can
stay at a local hotel. I would stay with
the inlaws.
3- Lake Powell?
4- Other Ideas?

We are in the middle of a massive snow storm right now! it's so much fun! I would love to show you all a picture but... our camara got lost snowboarding on Saturday. (kinda a bummer but we are still hopefull that it will show up!) so far we have about a foot (in the valley) and there is no sign of it stopping anytime soon! so if there is a foot in the valley... that means like 3 feet in the mountains! bring on the snow!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! We miss you all so much! I posted a picture of our Christmas tree... when it was alive. It is dead now. Apparently you have to water those things to keep them alive... Who knew? I also posted a picture that Brandon drew for his mom... I'm not sure if any of you knew this but Brandon is an amazing artist! I'm so not trying to brag about him but it is a pretty amazing picture. I will post some more pictures soon. Keep me posted on whats going on and keep the pictures coming!! We love you all! Ok so blake wanted to make the last Rollie, Rollie, pancake. I knew there was not very much batter left so I let him pour and twirl the pan. Well what we got was the best looking Iguana Pancake we have ever seen. Should we put it on ebay?

Finally pictures from Cali! I hope you enjoy them! We just got back from mom's house. We had some yummy Chili and Rice. It tasted so good today. Her house is coming along. I put a picture up of part of her house it is looking better!! We got a ton of snow yesterday everything looks so pretty here. I even made a little snowman... kinda. it was only about a foot tall but it was sweet! miss you all!! keep me posted with everything that is going on there! plus more pictures!!!!

I promise I will post some pictures ASAP!! Our Wireless Connection is not working right now so I have to wait until it does so I can upload them from the lap top but I have lots of fun (yes, I said fun)pictures to upload so be stoked! We had so much fun in Cali! Thank you to everyone for letting us stay with you and for all the yummy food! Oh and in regards to Netties "you know your a Rupp if..." We are so excited to come to Cali!! Other than the obvious... seeing the fam... we are stoked to hit up our favorite spots like Janes, Laguna, and Brandon wants to take me to this really good thai place he found in Pasadena. We are even more excited to be driving our new car down there. So now we are for sure coming to Cali and we dont have to pay a tow truck to follow us there anymore. See you all in 3 days!!!
