THE PEAK! 10,834 FEET!
This is a Stone Hut at around 10,800 feet or so built
in 1933. It was crazy cool!
This was our campsite the second night! It was great except for
the wind which wasn't too bad. I had to get up at 2:00 am and tighten
down the rain fly.
As you can see, there were parts where we were trudging through mountains
of deep, freshly falled powder that almost got up to the top of the soles of

This was our first camp site! It was GREAT! Right next to a small stream, beautiful location. The only real problem was that the temperature got down to 2o degrees that night.... we both didn't sleep too well...

Minus the cold that looks like so much fun! That hike looks pretty similar to when we went. I totally remember that hut. You guys should have just slept in the hut... It would have been way warmer! I am so jelous that you got to do that! Lets plan a trip sometime when I am not a big fat preggo lady! Stoked you like your new gear!
